The clutched pulley replaces the OEM supercharger pulley and increases the rotational speed of the factory IHI supercharger, generating higher boost pressure. The clutched design matches the OEM decoupling mechanism to reduce bearing and rotor stress compared to a non-clutched upgrade pulley.
